With the increasing popularity of multi-day sniper competitions like the Competition Dynamics Sniper Adventure Challenge, land navigation skills are being sharpened across the country. Military and law enforcement personnel also need a place to keep maps and information gathered in the field. To aid in these tasks, Rite in the Rain teamed up with Battle Board to create the Rite in the Rain Land Nav Kit.

More than just a notebook case; develop the mission, then task directly from your notebook and integrated display. Never lose track of operations or your gear.
No Left Turns at Albuquerque – Rite in the Rain Land Nav Kit

Book cover
The tan book cover is made of CORDURA fabric and features a scratch-resistant, polycarbonate map pocket. The viewing window pins down maps and documents up to 4.625″ x 7″ and can be marked with a map marker or grease pencil. Internally, the cover is compatible with any side-bound book up to 5.5″ x 7.25″. The front cover has four pen-size pockets for writing utensils, cigarettes, or whatever weird stuff you all carry with you. The back cover has a separate large pocket for additional documents.

TACTICAL FIELD BOOK
Fitting the aesthetic of the book cover, the field book is tan, with tan-colored paper. It includes 160 pages (80 sheets) 4.25″ x 7.25″ in size. The weight of the perforated pages is 32# Rite in the Rain, and are printed on with brown ink. Sixteen tactical reference pages are included to help navigators understand and organize their data. Rulers, 9-Line MEDEVAC, range cards, first aid, map scales, common symbols, and templates for sector sketching are there to keep you on track when you’re exhausted and just want to reach your objective.

ALL-WEATHER METAL PEN
The included all-weather pen has a flat black barrel. The ink is black and pressurized, allowing it to function in temperatures from -30F to 250F, upside-down, and underwater (up to 35 feet). In tough environments, the pen powers through water, sweat, grease, and mud.

Each unit is 8.375 x 6.5″ x .1″ and weighs just under a pound. Made in Washington, D.C., each Land Nav Kit has a price tag of $99.95. So, if you’re overseas, patrolling the streets of your city, or you’re trying to reach that podium, take a look at the Land Nav Kit on Rite in the Rain’s website.
