Federal Custom Shop Rob Roberts Special Edition Turkey Loads

Major firearm manufacturers like Smith & Wesson and SIG Sauer offer guns on a higher tier from their custom shops. If pistols can be crafted and polished by hand by the best in the industry, why can’t ammunition? In conjunction with Rob Roberts, the Federal Custom Shop has just introduced the Rob Roberts Special Edition turkey loads in 12- and 20-gauge.

Patterns, precision and personalization all come together in two new turkey options from Federal Custom Shop. Federal collaborated with legendary choke tube designer Rob Roberts Custom Gunworks to deliver optimal pattern density and downrange energy from the No. 9 Tungsten Super Shot payloads.

Both new shell options use Federal Premium’s Tungsten Super Shot (TSS) payloads. The special tungsten alloy that’s used is 22 percent denser than regular tungsten. More importantly, it’s 56 percent denser than traditional lead pellets. Tungsten Super Shot payloads contain at least double the pellet count of lead No. 5 loads, even when equal in weight. Each shell is made-to-order by Federal’s team of loading experts.
